The connected keyboard or mouse enumerates correctly and may be "hot-plugged" at any time, and the connected PCs may be powered up and down in any order. This unique architecture of the USB-84A-BC "MegaCast"™ USB Keyboard / Mouse Multicaster ensures error free boot up and device driver loading for each connected PC, and allows the Multicaster to operate transparently with all USB compatible PCs, PC operating systems, and applications. For applications requiring rack mounting, an optional 2U height rack mount tray is available (see Accessories ).

USB-84A-BC: MegaCast™ 10 port USB Keyboard / Mouse Multicaster. Routes the output of a single USB keyboard or mouse, to as many as ten USB PCs simultaneously. You will need 10 USB Type A/B cables, such as our USB-300-AB-06 cables, to connect to the PCs.

Connections:

Standard USB type A-B cables are used to connect the MegaCast™ to the USB ports of the PCs. You may use your cables, or ours (see Accessories ). Ten cables are needed to connect to the PCs. The captive cable that is part of the USB keyboard or mouse is used to connect this device to the MegaCast™.

Specifications:

Dimensions for the USB-84A-BC MegaCast™ are 2.63 in H x 8.08 in W x 6.32 in D (6.68 cm x 20.52 cm x 16.05 cm). The housing is molded of black GE Cycolac-T, a high impact ABS material, and is internally shielded with an acrylic base nickel coating for RFI attenuation. Front and rear panels are fabricated from .062 in thick aluminium and finished with low gloss paint. Power to the USB-84A-BC MegaCast™ is supplied by a wall mount power supply (VIP-211) provided with the unit. FCC and CE marked. Shipping weight is less than 3 lbs per unit.
