The USB-311 and USB-312 "SmartWye"™ USB Keyboard Encoders

Description: The “SmartWye”™ family of PS/2 and USB Keyboard Encoders / Emulators make it easy to connect custom control panels, switches, and keypads to the USB keyboard port of a PC, by converting contact closures to standard PC USB keyboard codes. Model USB-312 provides a hub, into which a standard USB keyboard may be connected, and can be plugged in or out at anytime. All "SmartWye"™ USB Keyboard Encoders / Emulators fully debounce switch closures and openings, generate the appropriate key “make” and “break” scan codes, and then send them to the PC. In Model USB-312, the on-board hub multiplexes keystrokes from any optionally connected keyboard with any switch generated keyboard data. All models utilize Vetra's advanced keyboard emulation technology which provides error free boot up to the connected PC and operates transparently with all PC's, PC operating systems, and applications. Technical Information: Generated Codes - Table 1, and Table 2 show generated codes for all configurations of the USB-311 and USB-312 USB Keyboard Encoder / Emulator. Connections - Input contact or switch connections are via 0.1 spaced SIP male header. Standard USB Type A-B cables are used to connect the USB Keyboard Encoders to the PC.
